Taxes
03/02/10 at 20:32:35

Hi,

I'm pretty new to this forum, so hi everybody.

I would like to ask someone about taxes in Austria. I have an offer to go work as employee to Wien (skilled job, not any gastarbeiter).
I know a brutto salary (about 50k € / year), but what part can I approximately count for taxes, social fund and so on (in percentage)?

Thank you very much.

50.000 a year including the 13th and 14th monthly salary?

You can count about 1.000 Euro wage tax every month.

The tax on the money you get.

I pay even three taxes on my salary: +income tax.

First I pay wage tax and social insurance on my salary, and then I have to pay for the rest of my income the income tax.  Grin Crazy, isnt't it?  Roll Eyes

I read in a magazine that those people in Greece are world champions to avoid paying taxes. Well, we see to which situation can lead such a behaviour, right? Well, what can I say. I like to pay taxes.  Smiley

The more money you have, the easier it is to avoid taxes.

If you win in your Superlotto, move to Austria, and take some good lawyers and tax advisers, you might have good chances to avoid paying a lot of taxes in Austria.  Grin

It's business.

If you are a rich man, you can bring a lot of working places to Austria. People have work and are satisfied. So it's okay you don't have to pay taxes. That's the deal.

no no austrian in italy for example a free-worker like a dentist, must do an official document
with written his salary of 1 year and give it to authority.
They give it and do you know how much they declare (i mean dentists) 20000 euro 1 year Grin Grin
